My dog, Ollie, devoured treat #9, super easy and delicious!

9 EASY Homemade No-Bake Dog Treat Recipes - No Food Processor Required! (1)

I spent a couple of hours in the kitchen testing and modifying these no-bake dog treat recipes for YOU! It was my pleasure!

I really didn’t want to pull out my food processor for any of these recipes, so I didn’t!

My dog, Ollie is fine with quick oats in his treats but if your dog prefers a smoother consistency, use the same amount of oat flour in place of the rolled oats in any of these recipes.

Or, you could pull out your food processor if you like!

Please note, for all recipes use:

  • Natural peanut butter (contains no xylitol)
  • Unsweetened, plain yogurt
  • Pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

Always check with your vet before adding new foods to your dog’s diet.

#1 – Cran-Apple Delight!

9 EASY Homemade No-Bake Dog Treat Recipes - No Food Processor Required! (2)

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp of rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp dried cranberries, chopped
  • ¼ of a red delicious apple, grated
  • 1 tsp water

    Preparation

    To a mixing bowl, add:

    • Grated apple (I didn’t peel mine)
    • Oats
    • Chopped cranberries

    Mix together.

Add water 1 tsp at a time if the mixture is dry and won’t stick together.

Form balls based on the size of your pet.

Refrigerate for an hour to firm up.

Don’t go too crazy with the cranberries, as with most things in life, they are good for dogs in moderation.

This recipe made 7 large balls for my medium-sized dog.

For more balls, you can double the recipe or simply form smaller balls.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for 3 months.

    #2 – Peanut Butter Bombs

9 EASY Homemade No-Bake Dog Treat Recipes - No Food Processor Required! (3)

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup peanut butter

    Preparation

    To a mixing bowl, add:

Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until the dough reaches the proper consistency.

Form size-appropriate balls based on the size of your pooch.

To set, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

The dough is pretty sticky, you may want to oil up your hands before forming the balls.

If the consistency is too wet, add more oats.

If it’s too dry, add water 1 tsp at a time until you can form a ball.

These balls definitely need to set in the fridge or freezer to firm up.

This recipe made 8 large balls for my med-sized dog.

    #8 – Peanut Butter Poppers

9 EASY Homemade No-Bake Dog Treat Recipes - No Food Processor Required! (9)

    Ingredients

    • 2/3 cup rolled oats*
    • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
    • 6 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce
    • 1/4 cup wheat bran
    • 1-2 carrots

    Preparation

    To a mixing bowl, add:

    • Oats
    • Peanut butter
    • Wheat bran
    • Applesauce

    Combine until well mixed

Slice the carrots into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices (depending on the size of your treats and pooch).

Scoop a heaping tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture into your hand and roll it into a ball.

Push a slice of carrot into the middle of the ball and shape the dough into a patty around the carrot (if you prefer smaller bites for your pup, cut the carrots in half or shred them).

Repeat with the remaining ingredients. You should be able to make about 24 bites.

*I used the same amount of oat flour instead of rolled oats and it worked out well.

This recipe made about 24 medium-large poppers.

Store in the fridge for up to a week in an airtight container, or freeze for three months.

    #9 – Super Simple PB & P

9 EASY Homemade No-Bake Dog Treat Recipes - No Food Processor Required! (10)

    To a mixing bowl, add:

    • Pumpkin puree
    • Peanut butter
    • Milk
    • Oats

    Mix well.

    Form into size-appropriate balls.

Refrigerate for about 1 hour to firm up.

Keep refrigerated in an air-tight container for up to a week (don’t worry, they won’t last that long!).

I found it easier to use room-temperature natural peanut butter as it mixes with the pumpkin better than cold PB.
