10 Craft Ideas To Do With 101 Dalmatians Coloring Pages

101 Dalmatians is arguably one of the best children’s stories ever.

If your youngster has colored 101 pages, here’s how to put them to good use!

1. eCraft a Cute Door Sign

This super-adorable door sign is simple and easy to make. Have the youngster color a page featuring the Dalmatian’s full face.

This should be cut out and glued to a red background.

Next, from ordinary white poster board, have the child trace and cut out a bone to glue underneath the Dalmatian’s nose, as if he’s carrying it.

Using bright red puffy paint, the youngster should write his or her name inside the bone, and when a hole is punched in the top for string, it becomes an adorable door sign.

2. Dalmatian Decoration

This easy craft is a big hit with all kids. Once a Dalmatian is colored, it should be cut from the page with the head separated from the body.

Wiggle eyes and a pink pom-pom nose can be added for extra fun.

The body should be glued to an upside-down foam cup, and the head glued to the front, top edge, with a layer of cotton balls in between.

This makes the head look as if it’s sticking out! Display this cute Dalmatian decoration anywhere!

3. Multiple Finger Puppets

This craft takes a little work, but it’s well worth it! Using any of the finished Dalmatian coloring pages, have the youngsters make strips just larger than the width of two fingers.

They should then fold the paper in half, making a sleeve, taping/stapling the sides together, and leaving the bottom open. This is where the fingers will go.

Using glue, Pom-poms, and wiggle eyes can be added to the top of the sleeves to create funny puppets, and the youngsters can make one for each finger!

4. Valentine’s Day card

What could be better for Valentine’s Day than a card with Pongo and Perdita on it?

To make this beautiful card, have the youngsters fold a red piece of poster board in half.

Inside, on the right-hand section, a heart can be made with pink and white pom-poms.

Invisible glue is best when adding the pom poms to make the colors stand out.

When the Dalmatian is colored and cut out, it can be trimmed to fit the inside of the heart.

Wiggle eyes, tiny black pom-poms for noses, and red glitter can be added for a pretty Valentine’s Day card.

5. If I Had 101 Dalmatians

For this engaging classroom activity, give each student a piece of poster board, and have them make five or six lines across its middle.

Using a marker or calligraphy pen, have the youngsters write, “If I had 101 Dalmatians…” just above the lines.

When a Dalmatian is colored and cut out, it should be glued underneath the lines, and the poster should be decorated with glitter, pom-poms, or craft gems.

Then, the youngsters can write what they would do with all those black-and-white puppies!

6. Dalmatian Planters

To make an adorable set of Dalmatian planters, start with two ordinary pots, which can be anything from plastic to terra-cotta.

The child can laminate the outside of the planters with cutouts from the Dalmatian coloring pages. These can be embellished or left as-is.

Either way, make sure to seal the artwork with several coats of acrylic spray.

Blue and red ribbons or red and blue paint can be used to make a border around the top of the planters, and they can be used all summer!

7. Make Adorable Placemats

101 Dalmatian coloring pages are perfect for making placemats. Begin with ordinary vinyl or plastic placemats from a discount store. These should be solid red or blue.

Next, the youngsters can color and cut out several characters from the coloring pages and use them to create a scene for the placemat.

When they are arranged the way the child wants, contact paper should be used to seal them, and these placemats can be used just like their store-bought counterparts.

8. Walking Puppets

To make these funny walking puppets, cut the Dalmatians from the pages and add funny legs made from black-and-white pipe cleaners twisted into spirals.

The bottom of the spiral legs should be “cemented” into balls of foil to give them a bit of weight. Rubber cement is the best glue for this.

Make a cross from two popsicle sticks and tie string from each end to holes punched in the Dalmatian cutouts.

Now, the youngsters can make the puppets “walk” just by tilting the popsicle stick cross back and forth.

9. Make an Adorable Dalmatian Ladder

Start this cute craft by having the youngsters create a 3D ladder with craft sticks. These should be glued to a thick piece of cardboard or poster board.

When the ladder is finished, the Dalmatians can be colored, cut out, and glued to different rungs of the ladder.

To make it extra fun, they can put Pongo and Perdita at the top and bottom and baby Dalmatians on the ladder rungs in between!

10.Dalmatian Chain

To make this unique Dalmatian chain, give each youngster an empty bathroom tissue cardboard and let them color and cut out a Dalmatian.

Each one should be glued to the side of a cardboard roll using rubber cement or invisible glue.

A long piece of embroidery thread or yarn should be threaded through all the rolls, and when hung up in a crescent shape, it will look like a giant wagon trail of Dalmatians!
